“Quality Never Diluted at KIMS”

KIMS mission of ‘Care with Courtesy, Compassion and Competence, ‘ is rooted deeply in the belief that if quality care is not delivered to each and every patient, then care has not been delivered at all.

KIMS has invested immensely in the area of quality and safe patient care. KIMS in 2006 successfully completed both National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) and Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) accreditation thus becoming the first hospital in India with both National & International accreditations. KIMS laboratory is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories (NABL) and the Blood Bank and Radiology accredited by NABH.

Currently, the Group has 7 internationally accredited centres and 5 nationally accredited facilities in India.

The key quality parameters that are regularly monitored at KIMS include antibiotic prophylaxis for elective surgeries, infection control statistics on SSI, BSI, UTI, VAP etc, patient falls, bed sores, thrombophlebitis, average waiting time for a patient, their “door-to-needle” time, re – admissions in a month after discharge and staff response time for emergencies on a daily basis. This round-the- clock monitoring of activities are recorded and documented, so that it can be used to benchmark, and ensure continuous improvement in our service standards.
